Imagine: Spilling it out.
Luke had invited me over. The Brooks and I have been really good friends ever since I can remember. Thing is, I don’t really want to be friends anymore. I mean with Luke. I’ve been in love with him ever since kindergarden and I really can’t take it anymore. I have to tell him; I just don’t know how.
I stood there in my jean overalls and he had giving me for my birthday and stared at my red converse.
I looked up and saw Luke standing in the doorway of their house.
I shook my head and looked at him. “Yeah, sorry.” I blushed a bit.
He led me to the living room, where we sat down and watched South Park for a while. I guess this is it.
I sighed a bit and looked at him. “Luke.”
“Yeah?” He replied looking into my eyes.
“”Can we like, talk?”
“Yeah, what’s wrong?” He turned off the TV to pay more attention.
“It’s just that…” I sighed. This was gonna be so embarrassing. “Well… How do I put it? I don’t think there’s an easy way to say this but I think I’m falling in love with you. I mean, everything you do just always seems perfect. Every move you make, every time you joke around or do pranks on me, I find it really cute and attractive and it’s just…. I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to fall in love with my best friend. I mean I do, but I don’t think you’ll ever feel the same and we’ve been friends for so long and I just think that-” I looked over to him. “Are you even listening?”
He just tilted his head a bit and responded. “Yeah.” He looked lost.
“Just shut up.”
“Just stop talking so I can respond.”
“Sorry…” I blushed a bit and looked down. I can’t believe I just let our friendship go to waste.
I started overthinking while Luke was standing still staring at me.
I startled a bit when I felt his hand touch my red cheek. I looked into his eyes and he closed them, leaning in to a kiss. Finally. I felt his lips press against mine ever so slightly and our lips started to move in sync. He slowed entered my mouth and I could feel him smiling in the kiss. He slowly parted and put his forehand onto mine.
“Finally.” He said.
